Jeepneys waiting to be worked on in the old Sarao Motors Jeepney plant in Las Pinas. Though this plant no longer builds these vehicles, it remains open for minor repairs and for public tours. Jeepneys are the most popular means of public transportation in the Philippines, originally made from US military jeeps left over from World War II. They are well known for their flamboyant decorations and crowded seating, and are one of the symbols of Philippine culture.
